Is it possible for someone from outside of Israel to start work in Israel after marriage and be succesfull. I have never heard of anyone becoming Israeli and making money in this country from scratch. I only know of native Israelis who have made money or people who have made aliyah but have existing businesses or funding in chul. What do you think? and why is it so difficult?
Foreigners making Money in Israel
I myself came to Eretz Yisroel right after high school, went to yeshiva and koillel, and now I'm working successfully, B"H. See the nefesh b'nefesh website- they help you get a job before you come and they even give you grants to help. BTW, frum people in Eretz Yisroel commonly have more children here than in America bec. tuition is (practically) free, which offsets the lack of a American-rate salary. Computer technicians, btw, make similar salaries so they enjoy the best of both worlds! (-:
They say that in order to make a small fortune in Israel, you have to come with a large one.
