K9 Filter NO LONGER WORKING FOR YOUTUBE

In the past I have used the K9 filter to block all Youtube and Facebook access. This was done by putting their URL's into the Always Block list under Web Site Exceptions.

Recently, this has stopped working on all of my computers. I asked a friend to try to block Youtube similarly and they also were unable to do so. I also tried blocking Youtube using the URL Keywords function but that doesn't help either.

Interestingly, I a friend who lives in Australia is still able to block Youtube using K9 so the problem seems to be limited to the US.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

"try clearing the browser history in Chrome. i had the same issue and after i cleared all history it worked. i also only experienced this issue with Chrome while the other browsers were still blocking...

Beware K9 is quite simple to remove. I'm not going to give instructions here but it took me a couple of hours to figure out how to remove it and once you know how it can be done in five minutes. Better to use a filter on the router or from the your ISP.

Call TAG they have some options to fix that issue and if not there are other filters that can block youtube.
