I often wonder at the She'ifos of people who dream about becoming the next Gadol Hador. Isnt that in itself flawed, to want to become a famous leader? I would put my money that all the Gedolim wanted to know all the torah, but a She'ifah to become Gadol is wrong and obviously never come true? Agreed?
Is it really the right thing to have a She'ifah to become a Gadol Hador?
I find this a common problem in Yeshivos nowadays. There is too much pressure to become people we dont (deep inside) want to be. We will alomst definitely not reach these levels so why preach them. Every time a boy says, thats it, from now on i'm gonna be Tzaddik and then he fails his Kabolos, he loses more faith in the system. One shteigs through very small steps!
Just my opinion but I totally agree
