Someone pointed out to me this morning that during Selichot we say a very interesting thing. We say
May the one who answered Yitzchok by the Akedah; He should answer us too.
This sounds as though Yizchok prayed by the Akedah that he be saved and not sacrificed. We know by Avraham that the Medrash says that after the Angel told him not to sacrifcr Yitzchok, he begged to still be allowed to. I thought the same would apply to Yitzchok. But it seems as though Yitzchok prayed to be saved and he was answered.
Can you source a Medrash or the like that brings down that Yitzchok prayed to be saved?
