The Gemoro says that someone who speaks Loshon Hora is like someone who is Ovier the 3 Cardinal sins. This tells us just how strict it is. If then a person is forced to either eat Pork or speak Loshon Hora it should follow that he should eat pork because there is no gemoro saying that eating pork is as strict as the 3 sins? Is my logic correct?
Should you eat pork or speak Loshon Hora if you had to choose between the two? [closed]
There is a Teshuva from the Rivash but I cant remember where, perhaps it is 171 that explains that there are some Isuurim that Chazal exaggerated the Issur in order scare people away from doing it. I think he says Loshon Hora is one of them. Although this probably a minority view, it is probably enough to rely on and therefor if one was forced he should speak Loshan Hora

Possibly you should speak lashon hara instead, based on Tanya ch. 7-8: The lashon hara is gone once it's done, but the forbidden foods stay in your body. (This is not conclusive, though.)

loshon hara defiantely. its a rally overexaggerated issur and by no means as definate as pork. on the strict legal definition pork is far worse. loshon hora has sevral substantial heterim the only heter for pork is pikuach nefesh! b efore the chofetz chaim came along noone thougth about loshon hora, and now that he has come along its all people talk about but lets not lose perspective of actual substantial halacha!

eat pork - as eating the pork will only harm you while speaking Loshon Hora will harm you, the listeneer and the one spoken about.
